Earthbag and Tire Retaining Wall

This 2-tier retaining wall is built into the steep mountainside
of the REACH earthship community. The first tier is made from tires and and tapered earthbags with a rough plaster finish. There is a continuous footing about 6" below grade that ties in the wall, on top of a gravel base. The second tier is a gabion wall made from rebar, steel mesh and rocks found around the site.
Masonry Stair Repair

Repair of an old set of masonry stairs (early 1900's) and concrete retaining wall. Demo of existing brick down to bare concrete and capped with limestone slabs. The Stair rise was made to keep the look of the existing walkway.
Stone Patio

Using assorted flagstone pieces obtained for free, a simple and colorful stone patio was created. Existing pallet deck and siding surrounding the patio was power-washed to bring new life to this outdoor space.
Pallet Patio

Using pallets and gravel, a raised patio was created using re-purposed stone block and pavers from the clients yard. Includes movable pallet privacy wall.
Seamonster Bench

Bench made from scrap wood and reclaimed concrete pedestals. Path is a simple scrap slate & gravel.
